Whats the highest note you've ever heard in a rock song?

Definitely. By far. Steelheart....I dont know anyone male or female who can reach that. At the 2 minute mark you'll begin to cry...rogar-Dum(DBG):

[GenJerDan]

Minnie Ripperton on Loving You (ok, not rock)
Lene Lovich on a whole bunch of her songs

[MalcolmOng]

The difference is that steelheart is a man...

[ecarr]

Manowar - Heart of Steel, 3:50

Iced Earth - When the Eagle Cries, 3:30

Pantera - Cemetery Gates, 6:10

I don't know if they're necessarily the highest ever, but they're definitely some beast metal screams.

Oh yea, and anything by Rush is pretty high, lol

[JasonFox]

Boston - Peace of Mind, 3:45, the final "Look ahead."

[Solomojo]

Any solo by Uli Jon Roth played on his Sky guitar. Laser to the brain high notes.

[Cheesesailor77]

anyone know that slayer song where after the guitar intro the guy screams so frickin high? or am i describing every slayer song?

[Terry_Tsurugi]

[Tim Miller]

The lead singer of Sigur Ros sings in falsetto the whole time and he's a dude

[Ben Sliker]

bon jovi. I'll be there for you. 3:58.

[Cynic821]

The Ripper blows out PA's all the time, i couldnt hear for a week after seeing iced earth in concert

[Rick Meyer]

a bunch of Judas Priest songs.

[Cynic821]

Demoliton has some good notes with the Ripper.

[Craig Ryan]

Steelheart is pretty sweet as far as high screams.

But if you really want to hear some wailing..check out some of the famous high note trumpet players like the late Maynard Ferguson, Wayne Bergeron, Scott Englebright and the like. Really awesome stuff.
