Because it says "insufficient content." Or, if it does allow them, they show up in the timeline but do not actually work. Anyone know why this happens?

Am I flipping the image incorrectly (I am using perspective flip 180 degree)?

Thanks in advance--

Hi kylekmd,

try a differnet way:

1) Double click the clip you want to flip to open in the viewer.
2) Hit the Motion Tab.
3) Change the Rotation setting from 0 to 180.

It will work for sure.

It worked! Thanks.

Hey my mother's maiden name is Papavaseliou...

We still have relatives somewhere in Greece.

Take care and thanks again.

Enjoy your adapter and feel free to ask whatever you want.

Is there any resolution loss when you flip the image in FCP? I've been trying to find out which NLE or plugin is best for flipping images with no/little resolution loss (if there is any in the first place).

As long as you stay w/ the same codec should be fine

When you flip the image the resolution loss will only occur if you're using an inferior codec for your sequence setting than what you shot with. So for the HVX for example, if you stay with the DVCPro HD codec then you're fine. I believe there is going to technically be a slight loss if you have to render it out (as it re-compresses it so to speak) but they way I interpret SMPTE's report on the matter, it wouldn't be noticeable.

cheers.
