filming a series of lectures, lavaliers?

I need to film a series of lectures. I can't have anything that will be too distracting to the students so I think lavaliers would be the best choice. The problem is, I don't know how to use a lavalier wireless system with a camcorder.

I was thinking about getting one of those lav systems at zzounds but i don't know if they will even be compatible with the camcorder. I will be using a simple 1-chip camera on a tripod. I've seen a few "camcorder lavaliers" but I don't know how well they work - they seem to be under $150, which in my opinion seems too inexpensive to be good.

Any help with finding the right lavalier system and any advice on how to put the whole package together? Also, if any of you are strongly against the use of a wireless system, please do say something. Also, if you guys have any suggestions on other methods of recording, please do tell. Thank you very much.

Without meaning to be rude, have you done a search in the archives for lav or wireless mic? Most, if not all of your questions have been answered a few times now. (Few=~100 or more).

If you are going to use a wireless lav, you have to have a "line" audio input jack on the camera for the receiver to start with. If you don't have at least that, you may be sunk.

Go down to the local camera store you bought the camera from, and they can walk you through it.

But please also do a search on this forum, it's been answered many times.
