.6x Century Optics wide angle problem

Just received my new .6x Century Optics wide angle lens. Looks great on the DVX lcd screen, but if I capture some footage there´s an obvious little black shadow in the lower left corner. :(

Anyone else experienced that problem?

Tried various camera settings. Squeeze and Letterbox mode work perfect. The shadow only appears in 4x3mode Z00- around Z38. Checked the mounting of the lens double twice and it fits perfect.

ANY help is appreciated!!!

See the problem here:

not sure what you can do about that. Just seems like standard vignetting to me. Why is it there? No idea

Per haps just the way it was made, maybe you need to zoom in a bit more?

otherwise, just letterbox that ****.

kinda like my grandma used to say : If you can't solve your problems with trial and error, put a black bar on that ***** and ignore it.

Nah...that's not normal for the .6

(Well, can't say for absolutely sure, since I always shoot squeeze, never 4:3)

Thanx for the quick replies. Can you check it in 4:3 mode if you have the time.
Best.

Little update.

Contacted the guys at century. They never experienced these problems. Meanwhile I checked the wide angle lens with another AG DVX from a friend. Same problem there. So they send me another lens. Unfortunately with the same vignetting in the lower left corner. At the moment they´re investigating in finding a solution. I´ll keep you updated.

The best.
