This was for the Vancouver Asian Film Festival that went on last week.
We had an idea but the co-director got pissed off on the second day and sort of took over and we had to shoot exactly what he said. I had some slight input on the shots (not as much as I'm used to), I gave some tweaks and suggestions and handled the camera.
A few problems:
1) Lack of real storyline, raises more questions than answers
2) Audio issues, that our director didn't know how to fix but are fixable
3) Cheesy editing within the liquor store
A few things I liked:
1) That one long shot of him walking was done using the XL2 and a fig-rig.
2) The lighting inside the liquor store was excellent.
3) The music works fairly good with it.
Anyways. I hope you enjoy the shots and camerawork, that was my part in the whole thing. He pretty much had the majority of his shots worked out and I just went ahead and tried to tweak them and improve on them. Due to a lack of gun in the store he wanted me to keep it all above the head, but I went and shot some vertical action, like the store owner putting the money into the bag, and then he went ahead and used it. Crazy directors.
