Smallest vibrating dof adaptor? (full res footage inside)

Hi Kyle,

Looking at the enlarge photo, it looked like the ee-s screen has a focusing ring at the centre.

Toenis,

Can you confirm this is the all plain matte version with zero markings? Thanks.

Yes, the Canon Ee-A screen has NO markings. I bought one from B&H and there are NO markings whatsoever. There is no focusing circle in the middle. Not sure why this has been such a controversy, but it has.

In my tests, I haven't found a need to vibrate the Ee-A screen. I suppose it may help, but I don't see any need for it with the tests I've done.

Canon 250D achromat with HVX200

Canon 250D achromat with HVX200

I just tested HVX200 and EE-S screen with Canon`s 58mm 250D and 500D achromats.
Both of those achtomats were small, it means with 58mm threads.
First off 500D doesn`t let you focus as close as 250D.
With 250D macro HVX was able to fill the full 35mm frame but image had little bit soft corners.

>> See a 36x24mm full frame grab here. <<

I was holding that printed office paper sheet by one hand in front of the lens so maybe some of the softness is because of that, centre to bottom right corner is quite sharp.

>> One more grab here. <<

Still little bit soft. I really don`t know how those $400 achromats can stand such tests?

One other thing to mention that with 19mm ultrawide it has some vignetting but I haven`t seen any adapter footage that hasn`t it with full 19mm coverage.

What do you think, is it really bad?

HVX was wide open by the way. Do you think that it might contribute to the edge softness?

Best Regards,
T

Come on, Toenis!

I'm ready to purchase one of your vibrating GG mechanisms!

Just give me your PayPal payment email address when you're ready to start selling them.

Any updates???

Sorry, we`ve been extremely busy with getting improved production units made... just few days more.

Some more sample footage from tiny GS150:
>> Bokeh
>> Sunset
>> Vibrator on/off shutter at 250 (max gain)
>> F1.2 to f16
>> f4 19mm ultrawide (vignetting due to Cokin P series filter holder)

One unfortunate thing is that PayPal declared that they will not allow us to request money internationally to our account making it impossible to use their services. Any ideas what is the next possible/cheapest payment method?
International Money Order?

Cheers,
T

Hi Toenis,

The best way, the only I trast, is bank transfer (wire transfer).
You can also try moneygram.

best
Andreas

Try Western Union. People say its not secure but its fast. You get payment the next day or two. Security for WU is subjective. We have alot of foreign workers in Brunei sending hundreds of thousand of dollars via WU and I have not heard anyone complaining they have lost money. Money order takes too long. I know for a fact WU works cos I have sent money to the US and all they need on the other side is the authorised person to pick up the money from the WU office. The person has to present his ID card to show that he is the person he say he is before WU will release the money. This just mean that the payee has to do a bit more work by goign back and forth to the WU office. But no pain no gain. Paypal would be best but again, if a customer screw you up, paypal will side with the customer (Most of the time).

"When did paypal start non international money transfers? I just paid someone here over sea's with paypal."

Heads up!

Be very careful guys, paypal is not your pay at all! If anyone is interested here's my story

BTW, If you're having the same problems as I've had, I'm now using Auction Checkout only and I can't complain, plus they're not rude to you over the phone. Well I guess some people use it and works fine, but you never know. As you can tell I'm still very pissed off from the whole thing, Ok back to your thread.

Toenis your adapter looks very nice and clean!

I thought the video needed to be deinterlaced because I noticed jagged small jagged edges on the white diagnal line. Then I noticed the figerprint of the focusing screen when the vibrator was off and realized it wasn't interlacing that I saw on the white line, but the foucing screen's lines. I use the Canon Ee-A with the DVX100A.

How noticable is it when you watch the full rez footage on a television?
