I know boom mics work for the Oktava I got which is that $200 MK-012 from sound-room. Btw, the Oktava is unbelievable. I just need a boom mic thats around $70-$100. Any suggestions? I looked around and couldn't find a good one, and the one I liked on ebay is too big for the Oktava. Thanks in advance (btw, i don't want posts that say "omg we answer this question alllll the time...blah blah.....just answer or don't comment, I'm so sick of that on every single thread I look at).

Are you talking about a boom POLE? Your question confuses me.

And please don't tell me how to post. That's what moderators are for.

Or are you asking about the caps for the mic (omni, cardioid, hyper-cardioid)? If so, get the hyper cap. It's really the only one you'll ever need.

I've been using my monopod as a boom pole till I can afford something more suitable (and longer). It only extends to about 66" so I have to get in pretty close, and that means the camera is in pretty tight as well.

Awesome. Thanks Jeremy.

I was in the middle of searching some threads, but you beat me to it. Plus I'm occupied with tennis on one TV and football on the other (not to mention the beer in one hand and mouse in the other).

Yeah I found one, sorry about that guys, didn't mean to tell anyone to search. I just thought someone would say "oh the O98-5ty is the best boom pole, buy that". BAM!. Done. My bad my bad.

Go to Lowes, buy a painters pole, then go to Ace Hardware and buy 3/8 foam rubber tubing to insulate the handle for 99 cents, then go to ebay for the $9.95 adapter to screw your shockmount to the pole. All done for around $30.
