Time Code On Tape, But Not In Log & Capute (final Cut)

I recorded some footage in 24p & also 30p on a single tape (DVX100B). That might've been a bad idea, but I didn't even think about it. I use a Pansonic GS120 camcorder as a deck. When I put my tape into the camera there is a timecode. When I go to log & capture in final cut 5, there is no timecode. Why might this be, & how can I fix it?

Thanks for your help DVX brothers.

I have found that capturing DVX tapes with anything else but my DVX gives me no timecode, too. Not sure what to do about it. I just capture it anyway. Once it's in the Timeline, it gets new timecode, so I don't worry about it. But someone else may need that original TC for some reason.

As for recording different frame rates on the same tape, I've done it, but I leave about 15 seconds of blank tape at the begining and end of each shot. That way, when I capture, I can capture each seperately/independently and FCP will do proper pull downs.
