Rap Music and decline of real music

Everyone gets what's coming to them eventually. At some point self-worth has to be more important than money.

Self-worth has nothing to do with money. There are those who inherited money who have it, and those who came up from a blue collar background who don't. And vice-versa. A-holes with money, and a-holes without. I don't cotton to these easy generalizations. I've met all kinds, and done my share of both kinds of living (no menage a trois yet :().
A life is defined by choices not by predestiny, or one's background. Anectdotal evidence aside, I don't like prejudice in any form - even against the rich.

The content of a man's/woman's character isn't dependant on where they came from, the colour of their skin, religion, politics, salary, fame or any other easy categorization , IMHO. History is replete with complete a-holes who had everything in the world, and lived to enjoy their life into a long and golden old age. Same with those who were selfless and worked for everything in their lives.

I guess I prefer to withold judgement until I actually meet the person (in regards to light weight issues). The few stars I've met have been an interseting experience. They're rarely what your preconceptions are. And it's getting ridiculous in the way that tabloids and the media have been psychoanalyzing these people as if they know s**t.

Sorry for the rant. :banned:

Back to how hot Britney is (or was).

That's my take Jack. If Spears (Pre-decline) came up too any one in here at the local discoteque and took a liken to them; they'd shi*e.
once again you're wrong, but you can't help it. her attractiveness is below average for NYC, but she's probably hot where you live. "hot" blondes are a dime a dozen here! duh! :)

let me elaborate. not too long ago a friend takes me to her "workplace" for a little tour. yah, that would be Victoria's Secret HQ on 34th street. There I am, posing like a god damn idiot because she made me.

And then she introduced me to her friends, Amy and Liz, who are trying to get their big break. and in my line of work, let's say some people are willing to do ANYTHING for it.

The rest is for your imagination, and it better be a god damn wild imagination, dig me? :banned:

This is nothing new in the Big Apple. :dankk2:

i have the tape!!!!!...... unfortunatly now i have a Statocaster shaped impression on my back form hiding in your closet.......

P.S. But if we do, party that is, I get the turtleneck and you can have Daryl Hannah and I'm going to have to insist on this one.

As far as what we'll all bring....I'll bring a beer bong, my DVX, and Twister.

And all you have to bring is the Gulf Stream (with a designated Pilot), at least those two girls, an open bar, an open mind, and maybe some X or something.

Anway, call me and we'll iron things out. It's gonna be fun dude, I'm so stoked. Jones.

LOL. Well I'm off the market and so are they, so I'll set you up with Jill instead, she lives near you and is into the stuff you mentioned. (Leave the X at home, she's a lot of fun and you won't need it)

No one said anything about rich people being bad. I said the "love of money" is the root of all evil. My point is the exact point you just made. You think I do this because it's fun to buy a lot expensive gear you can't really afford? (Well it is but that's not the point). I do this with the intent to make money. And if I strike it rich, I won't be crying about it. Frankly I'd buy the things I need and more DVX batteries from Jarred (provided I'm still using the DVX or an HVX) and do a lot of things I'd like to do or see done.

My reference was in reference to Glimmerghost's post that said "Don't let yourself be persuaded to think like movieland, the bad guy dosn't always get his in the end... he lives in a Penthouse rocking a Manage Trois and taking weekly trips to tan in Barbados with his pet Platypus or other unique animal that we will die without ever having seen.

Just remember, because of your self worth, you didnt get to see a real life platypus."

He specifically mentions a specific type of rich person refering to them as "the badguy". It didn't seem that his post was aimed at the rich in general. My response was simply that getting money in itself should not be one's life ambition. Money is an important tool and should be used as such. When your life becomes simply about money you actually lose something. I have no problem with people who are rich I simply believe that doing everything and anything to get money isn't worth it if you can't look at yourself in the mirror.

As for the people I was involved with, they aren't rich but connected and I did meet them and not only did I meet them my friends have had close personal experiences with them for years (and not particularly positive) and I was conflicted on how closely I wanted to be associated with them. I got my answer (that day) and my location the next. And all is well.

Keep in mind Britney is still hot, but like many women, she's hot when she wants to be. The picture is obviously not one of those times.

Might want to be careful about posting pictures and implying things. In this business everyone's letigious. And willing to do "anything" could mean willing to to file a lawsuit.

Couldn't agree with that more. The acquaintances that I have met that are rich, were much more interested in a passion, be it in whatever field. The money was more of a consequence of the passion, and not the motivating factor. In fact, one friend of mine has lost and regained several fortunes of the course of the years, because the passion was more important than the result (he's started/sold or folded 5 small businesses). I guess I gravitate to those (even with wealth) who feel that way. Even if I made that kind of coin, I'd still feel that way...

I just thought I'd post something because it's far too easy to fall into the "class" game. But, your clarifications show we're more on the same page. Good to know.

All the other stuff, I really don't pay that much attention too. I respect Britney's work ethic, but I'm more attracted to talent more than anything else. Put beauty and talent together and I'm a sucker for it.

I like Flint MI's shirt, though. (Edit, one of his pics - now a ? - he was with a hot blond, wearing a Flint Michigan shirt). Where can I get a shirt made that says D&G ? "Yeah baby, this is my internet handle, can you roll with it ?" No wonder he's trois-menaging on the G5.

Was that story supposed too impress us?

Aside from the numerous girls in the Niagra Falls area .....

Perhaps he was using the story about hanging out with lingerie models to
illustrate how not star-struck and or driven by a desire to be taken along for
a ride with connected celebrity? Hehe.
