Please Reinstall Adobe Premiere Pro

Adobe Premierw was installed successfully onto my PC over a month ago. Now it won't work. the problem is that when im installing it, i think its supposed to show a screen with like boxes for me to type the serial code, name and company. Well this doesn't it just donwloads it.

When its done, the self installed just closes and says the file has been installed successfully. But when I try to access it by pressing the icon, it simply says

"REGISTRATION INFORMATION IS INVALID, PLEASE REINSTALL ADOBE PREMIERE PRO"

and I've reinstalled it 7 times and no success, any tips??

I can only say contact Adobe. Before that you could try looking under "Help" and go to "Registration" or "Activate." To be quite honest, I'm not entirely sure what you will see there since the registration info is supposedly invalid. I think your best bet though would be to contact Adobe.

Call Adobe Technical Support, they offer free support with install issues. :)

You likely did a standard un-install which keeps your registration and user settings.
Bit if you have the original PPRoCD with Seriel number you can do a complete un-install and the reinstall and re-enter the serial number.

Before you do though. is this part of the Suite or stand alone?

That's very insightful. I did, indeed do a Basic uninstall. I have NEVER heard of PPRoCD though. How do I access it to completely uninstall it? This is a stand alone Premiere pro...I'm guessing.

PPRoCD I believe would be the physical CD you recieved when you purchased your Premiere Pro program. The previous post was telling you to put in your CD and do a complete install if I am understanding him correct.

What's the difference between Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 and Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 ELEMENTS?

Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0 is an inexpensive ($99 list) "lite" program that is often bundled with inexpensive hardware.

Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 is much more expensive ($849 list) full professional editing program. It can be part of the Video Bundle (which also includes, Encore, Audition, Photoshop CS, After Effects & Illustrator).

While both are Adobe products, Elements is NOT a high end NLE at all.

So ELEMENTS is like Adobe Premiere Pro for KIDS/RETARDS/ROOKIES?
And NO WAY is Adobe Premiere Pro worth HALF of that much...what's WRONG with Adobe??

Not to be overly PC, but ".../RETARDS/..." that seems a bit inappropriate! :violent5:

Perhaps a better term would be those that can not justify Premiere Pro.

Do you already own a legal copy of Premiere Pro or is this a situation where you acquired a machine with a copy already installed?

Why are you being so sensitive to the term? I'm not an evil person, But I'm not a catholic father either. Why couldn't you just have looked at the word and passed it by instead of trying to teach me a life lesson....You know what I MEANT. Just because I say the term 'Retard' doesn't mean I push them down stairs and steal from them. Geesh...

Not PREMIERE! Premiere ELEMENTS (Did I forget to type elements after it? Let me go check) anyways,

I just need to know how to COMPLETELY uninstall This from my comp, Registration info and ALL.

Step 1: Place the Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 CD in your DVD/CD drive. It will take a moment to load, but it will prompt you to choose whether or not you wish to completely install, reinstall, etc.

Step 2: Choose to complete uninstall the program - you might be asked whether or not you wish to save the registration information which pertains to that computer - you can save it or not - your choice.

Step 3: After program has been uninstalled - reboot your computer and reinstall the program.

If you don't have the cd then sorry your out of luck....hope that helps.

Don't have the CD....but I KNOW there has to be a way to uninstall the registration information without it.

Ok, in the meantime, since I can't get my Adobe Premiere 2.0 started, and now am forced to work with Premiere Pro ELEMENTS, Is there a way that I can convert my saved project that I was working on from regular Pro to Pro Elements?

Do you know what I mean?

Dude, chill out for a bit. Stop snapping at people who are trying to help you. Now, I'm pretty sure that when you just uninstall Premiere from the Remove Programs windows it will offer you the same option as if you have the CD, so you can also completely uninstall it that way.

Ya, their parking lot was full when i drove past it this morning on my way to work, so just give em a ring
