I took the Netflix plunge

J.R. Hudson

Spirit Animal
For the first time I have committed to Netflix (The $17.99 Monthly plan) am am now sitting here thinking 'What took me so long?'

I has never done it before due to never really knowing what I wanted to watch in advance as my tastes change too rapidly (I think it's undiagnosed ADD or the heroin, not sure which)

Anyways

I already decided that Netflix should offer:

Preview Purchase Options

Rent the DVD and return it or if you like it, keep it as a purchase (pay a fee online).

(I'm an idea man Chuck)

I've had netflix for a year or so now and have loved every minute of it. At first the whole "we have some movies based on your interests" was annoying. Now that I have actually started rating the movies after watching them, it seems to work pretty well and has led me to some great flicks. I just came across Baram this way and enjoyed it. Some great crane work in that one.

Anyway, smart move.

Guns of Navarone. Awesome flick, John! I love Gregory Peck's speech to David Niven. It's one of my favorite parts of the film.

Add SPIRIT OF THE BEEHIVE. It might not be your cup of tea, but you'll be a better man for having seen it.

Love Netflix. You might want to check out the "Friends" option - let's you reccommend flicks to friends and they to you. Also allows you to see what your friends have in their queue and at home, which is kind of creepy in a way. Of course, that means that your friends can also see when you have "She's The Man" "Divine Secrets of the Yaya Sisterhood" and "Sleepless in Seattle" at home - (for the lady)

Netflix is a great idea, and renting system. The only thing I view as a negative is those times you think "oh man I want to watch <insert film> tonight!", unlike rental places you can't just go out and get it if decided in an impulse.
