I actually did something like that a few months ago and basically got shined on it. (minus the nice car and "let's bang" stuff) Oh well. What goes around comes around, eh? Saturday night, I was happily running on a treadmill with my headphones on. Some guy gets on right next to me and I had that "vibe" like he was going to say something to me. So I jacked up my music. When he started to talk, I pretended I couldn't hear. To save some face, I think he started talking to himself..

I disagree on the "wait 3 days" thing. If you've got good reasons, why wait?
 
Women always say they disagree with the 3 day rule. But the fact is if you call right away, you look desparate.

Besides, what good reason would you ahve to call her the next day you couldn't have said the night before?

Yeah I understand women not wanting dudes to just up and talk to them. As a woman, especially if you're attractive, you have to be innundated with dudes hitting on you.

Honestly, I go the route of meeting dudes. Then let them introduce me. Its a better "In" than going up to girls cold and pissing both of us off.

Although I've also noticed that just smiling at women has been good enough to make them come over to me. ANd that works nicely for my lazy ass.

And it baffles me when women jaw off about their being no good men around.

lol the 3 day rule is from Swingers, but it does seem to hold true.

The introduction-through-a-friend thing works out nicely assuming the friend knows your intent and tries to throw in phrases to the girl such as "he's a really good guy... you'll like him". Approval of friends of the person they might date is always a good step. My buddy has a ridiculous grasp on the dating world, he says the through-a-friend route is called "wingmaning".

I found, a universal rule is there are no rules (if the guy or the girl have that lust thing goin' on). I remember in University a friend of mine was interested in a really beautiful Freshman advisor. It was the same old story, boyfriend in Switzerland (which she really did have) can't be unfaithful, yada, yada, yada. Long story short, she met a new transfer, and the boyfriend became less important, if you know what I mean.

I find you can be attaractive and blow off peeps the right way, though. Lost art, IMHO.

There are enough gorgeous women (inside and out) without the high maintenance to make the trip worthwhile :beer: Lucidz, Good luck with the single scene, you lazy bastid.

Agreed on every point.

But you should have a blast being single, Lucidz. For me, being single was hanging out with my friends all day playing Mario Golf and making up new plot-lines for movies. It was fun.

Ahh the single days... For me, it was either a) writing in seclusion for months at a time or b) race tracks, cigar smoking, Irish pubs, and *late night entertainment.

Now that's how you separate the boys from the men. I'm twenty-four and I've only drank once. What a night that was.

Lucidz is the hottest man on the boards. I dunno why he's ranting. Those two weeks of separation must be hard.

Lol. Got it. I guess you meant "running". At my gym, the ladies there chat all the time while doing light running/jogging. I get your drift, though. I just couldn't imagine trying to engage in conversation if a lady beside me was running running, if ya know what I mean. :) Can you say counterproductive.

Actually, the booster bar is probably the best place to make a move, at my gym. Everyone's showered (mostly) fresh faced and horny.

I definitely wouldn't say I'm the hottest man on the boards. I think the hottest dude is probably TC. (in gay voice): he's such a hawttie! (ok that just got a bit wierd)

YOu've only drank once?!?!? Wow. I don't drink heavily out any more. Not only does it impair your ability to talk to people but if you're more sober than the next person, you have an in, if someone needs driving home etc.

In the last two.5 weeks, I've gone out like 9 times. Seriously. I am almost looking forward to my trip so I can rest!

Yeah, seriously. But to say I "drank" is an understatement. It was my going away party, before I moved here to California from Atlanta? And all of my friends came over with alcohol... I consumed quite a bit of it all. I got faced like no other, but was thankful for no hangover and no sickness.

Alcohol is like Liquid Courage, as well. I actually "hooked up" with a hot chic I didn't even know, all because I was too drunk to give a shiet about what she thought about me.

Oh, and I also saw my friends purse jump off of the couch.

on top of that, I was READING. I actually brought my DVX Book for a refresher and it was opened to some chart on the pulldown sequence. My guess is that he wanted to know if I was reading some kind of eye test or something, you know, with the A-B-C-D thing. ANY GUY THAT HASN'T READ THAT ON HIS OWN IS A L-O-S-E-R.
