Anyone ever read the book of mice and men? It's a good book and I enjoyed it.

Also if you know how it ends then how about an alternate ending? Right here what I made for school - www.myspace.com/ramsaurfilms (First one when you open the page up)

I read parts of Of Mice and Men when I wasnt busy, and I didnt like it that much (though I think I was probably reading sloppily).

I dont know why I didnt like it- maybe it just didnt flow for me.

hm. ok. Just didn't seem like it, with the insane amount of posts and all :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG) :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

All that aside, back to the book. Dont wanna thread-jack this baby.

Steinbeck is one of my favorite writers. I actually have a 1st edition of this book on my bookshelf.

John G.

This was required reading in high school. One of the ones I actually enjoyed reading. Catcher in the Rye and Siddhartha were also in there.

Tell again about the rabbits George.

John Steinbeck's first succesful book. Yea, it was great and I read it for fun when I was 17.
It was experimental literature that could be adapted easily to a play, also alot of people don't know the other part of the experiment was to test his theory on his favorite author Dostoevsky. The theory went a little like this:
Crime and Punishment is a book that is so gloomy it makes me depressed. This indicates it's genius, where as a book can draw me in so deep I feel the actual depression of it's characters.
Of Mice and Men was supposed to do the same, but it didn't read anywhere as gloomily as C&P. There was one book he wrote that captured the heart of this experiment to a "T".... can anyone name that tune?

I have read the book. I often call people who are acting dumb and annoy me, ''Lennie''. It is a way I can make fun of someone to their face with a %99 chance they won't know what the hell I mean.

It's easy just look at the person deserving of ridicule and say:

"Good job Lennie, why don't you go wait in the barn"
"Way to start a farm lennie"
"Hey Lennie, go pet a kitten"

They often just go, 'huh?' and then shrug it off. Just like Lennie would do :)

Ding Ding Ding, the judges are willing to accept that confused answer and here's what you've won: A brand new HVX200 courtesy of EVS.
By the way everyone... horrorfest's first prize has been downgraded to a JVC palmcorder.
