I have Premiere Pro 2.0 running on a PC with a 3.0gHz cpu, 2.5 gb's of ram, (just updated to ) a 256mb Graphics card and 380 gigs of storage.
I shot about 2 hours of HDV from my FX1. I captured various clips from tape and then started editing. I edited about 1 minute of footage and did a render. Then I had some crappy playback... very studdered. After I restarted, ALL THE CLIPS including the stuff not on the timeline/ in the sequence. Any clip i even openin the source montior is severly interlaced. I dont get it.
You never see interlacing in premiere like that. When i open a new project and import the clips, all the interlacing is gone and seems to play fine. Just that project. I tried to make an EDL and then open that in a new project so I didnt' have to reedit. But once you do that, all it does it make a folder in the new project with a sequence, and the file placeholders. You still have to go an relink the media clips one by one and it was too tedious to even attempt for me. so I guess I lost my edit and have to start all over. Its such BS. What if I was a hour into it or something.
I COULD right click each clip and then select field options > always deinterlace.. but WTF I have to do that for EACH clip AND have to rerender then.
I dont get it. Anyone else have this problem?
