KATA CC-193 soft case?

Interesting option. Definitely cheaper. Has anyone seen this side by side with the Kata BP502?

I own the KATA BP-502, which is big- but holds all the equipment I need + my laptop.

For you, I suggest the smaller one, the R-103:

These backpacks make taking the camera out and putting it back in a cinch. Everything is so quick and streamlined. The number of pockets you can dedicate for loose items is awesome. With normal bags, you generally throw a bunch of things into one pocket. The backpack keeps me nice and organized. My backpack can even carry my tripod with it!

Lastly, you can have your backpack ON and shoot at the same time, not having to leave your bag behind where someone can steal it. This is great for weddings, events, sport videos like skateboarding and biking, and documentary shooting.

 Wow, I just got my DVX100B a few days ago and I brought a hard case for travel and was looking for a shoulder bag for day to day shoots.....FORGET that!!! After reading your post I'm looking for a back pack. I'd probably need the Kata R-103 as well for the size and amount of extras I'll need to carry.

Thanks!

I was looking at carrying cases today and found this stream - does the R-103 have enough space to hold the shotgun mic as well?
