Magnet "Flip" How-To with Pictures!

Here's a guide to flip your lcd image so you can view your 35mm rightside-up. Cheaper than buying a external flip monitor and it won't void your warranty.

So you need a magnet - but how strong? I used a magnet I got at Ace Hardware - came in a pack of 12. Cost = $5. [I have attached a pic of the case]

Place the magnet right under hinge that connects the lcd to the camera base. It will be attached to the right side of the lcd, under the hinge.

Images are attached.

And then go into your display settings and make sure your self-shoot is set to mirror.

And that's it.

The magnet isn't strong enough to hurt the camera. Yes when you open up the attachment piece you could unintentionally damage the wire connecting the camera to the lcd.

After trying out several magnets, I had success with a magnet from a magnet "pick-up-tool" from walmart. It was less than $2 and very small once I cut it out of it's housing. It's about the size of an aspirin. I found it in the housewares section next to the patio thermometers (?!?)
