24pa for a 29.97 edit

I shot 24pA squeezed. I want to be able to edit at 29.97 for delivery to video/DVD anamorphic. I want to capture for highest quality and don't want any flickering.

What's the FCP post pipeline to achieve this?

24pA plays back phunky. Why edit 29.97? Capture w/24pA settings, edit 23.976, make 24p DVD, no problem. For broadcast, add 3:2 pulldown (NOT 24pA pattern), and you're good to go.

Sounds good, but my concerns then would be...
Not being able to correctly view the 24pa material on an NTSC monitor, dealing with syncing the sound recorded at 29.97, and making a master DBeta for the distributor from a 24p file or DVD.

I know this is a FCP section, but does Avid work with this better?

DVD players add the 3:2 pulldown on the fly. Most 24P material, including major studio feature films, are encoded to DVD as 24P, and just get the pulldown added on playback.
