I've got a Stanley FatMax 77-910 unit (from Lowe's, about $95) that works well so far!

I also have the FatMax unit. Got mine from Home Depot for about the same $. Works nice unless your outside in a lot of sunlight. Very accurate and helpful.

Bosch recently announced the new Digital Laser Rangefinder PLR 30. Measuring accuracy: +/- 2.0 mm (much better than the FatMax). Measuring range: 0.2...30m. Measuring duration: <0.5 s.

There is currently a special promotion in Switzerland and I bought one for CHF 179 (ca. $137) - protective case included. I assume that there are similar promotions in other countries.
