Just got my $70 Oktava...Right one?

Not sure about the shotgun capsule...didn't know they made one for Oktava, but before you order from sound room, don't forget to put in the coupon code of DV...you get a bit of a discount as a dvxuser.com person (at least you used to...).

As far as the shock mount goes, I use an 8415 with the k-tek suspenders...works awesome for me.

Okay thanks. Much cheaper mount, I know Oktava is very sensitive to handling so dont want to jip on the shockmount.

Well after I direct this summer project, ill let you know =) First time i'll be slinging a boom myself, well... with a REAL mic I should say. But I definitely love sound =) And you pay your crew? With actual money? Because I've lured people with promise of a paid gig... and I do... with food. But hey the prospect of free food always brought my AD/producer back. =)

And yeah Oktava definitely the mic. With KSSM Shockmount, BBG, and... the 140 boompole off of evs. And then cables... ugh that all adds up doesnt it lol. I guess no free food this summer :)

I just bought one over last weekend, got it yesterday. Just checked and looks like they have disabled it. Oh well, such as life.
 
I just bought the hypercardoid capsule from them last week and the dv code worked..maybe it is only for certain items only...PS I typed it a "dv" not "DV".

Edit: I just did a sample buy of the MK012 multicapsule set and it gave a discount price of $14.95
