Saw this at a local venue. It was projected onto a small screen and the audio suffered because the theater was designed for live performances.
That didn't matter, I frickin' loved it and I knew I would ever since I saw the trailer. I liked everything about it, the dialogue in particular. The dolly zoom utilized when Tug hit Brendon in the parking lot stuck with me in terms of cinematography, as well as the way they used the tunnel.
haha that kingpin room is so great. i only saw this recently but it's one of those movies i want to get on dvd. you can really watch this multiple times
i really disliked this movie. outside of the cinematography, it just lost me. the "dialogue" tried too hard to be cool and different. I wasn't really interested in the girl so I didn't care whether he found out who killed her. Great looking movie for half a mil, but that's about all I can say for it.
I don't know if i should call this a great high school movie, or a great detective movie. So I'll just call it a great high school detective movie. There we go. A new genre
