HELP! Trying to take off Bogen 503 head, but can't

I have some lightweight bogen sticks - 055MF4 to be exact. I have both the 503 head for very lightweight video work and the grip action ballhead (322RC2) for photo work. I've switched the head out before, but now I can't do it. The 503 head is on now, but it won't come off. I took out the 3 little screws underneath, locked off the pan and tilt, and try turning it counter clockwise, but the 503 head still slowly spins with so much pressure despite the pan lock being tied off completly. I don't know what else to do. Has anyone else run across this problem? Bogen isn't open on the weekends, so I turn to the trustworthy DVXuser members. I already had to scavenge around this morning to find a usable tripod and I'd like to be able to use my own on the shoot tomorrow.
 
I had that happen once with my 503. Instead of trying to overpower it, I just gave it a real quick twist. That was enough to break it free.
