I just got in my Geardear Mattebox from http://geardear.com/
so far I really like it. I've been making do with a Mattebox for a 35mm still camera which worked well but was designed for 3X3" filters. everything is modular and if you break anything its cheap to replace, though as well as it's made i doubt that's going to happen unless someone jumps on it.
the Geardear box I ordered came with 3 stages you can order 1-3. I got 1 stage of 4"X4" and two at 4X5.65
I also got the french flag
Construction and materials are SOLID but very light. I'd say just under a pound.
I opted for the expedited mail service and it took about a week to get her from Germany.
I also purchased the long lens support. Excellent.
Another thing I'd like to say is that their website is definately a work in progress but their emails were very prompt and the stepped me through selecting just what I needed.
I paid with paypal without a hitch.
