Best place to search for directors?

[Heero]

Hello, I am currently searching for directors in San Jose, California, but I don't know a good place. No one on myspace is responding yet, and craigslist charges 75 bucks to list. Anyone know of any place?

what sort of project is this for? short film? feature? music video? commercial? i don't know if craigslist is a good place to find directors. i would suggest film festivals, or at least looking up directors who got into past film festivals. or try looking at shorts on atomfilms or something, and find directors whose work you like.

Yeah, you really need to be more specific about what sort of project it is, genre, etc. I'm sure there's lots of people out there who'd be interested in the area, and if not... LA isn't very far away!

Plenty of directors on this board (hey arhartman )
I'll fly just about anywhere to direct a script if I fall in love with it.

Post under "creative gigs" on Craigslist. Also here at DVXuser. And give mandy a try.
