DVXUser Photography Contest - Vote Now!

Hey people,

As many of you have seen (well at least 1000 of you) we put together the first of what will hopefully be a weekly DVXUser still photography competition.

Photography has many ties with filmmaking from lighting, blocking, framing, and being a visual medium (if you didn't know this, then I pitty you).

Regardless, the polls are now open and your votes will determine:
A) Custom names for the top 3 finishers, courtesy of Jarred
B) A $50 gift card to B&H Photo, courtesy of me, for the top place finisher
C) Who gets to pick the topic fo next weeks competition.

PLUS:
Mikko said that for every entry he would donate $2 to Isara.com... That's a total of $62 for everyone's favorite charity!

Voting is simple... Please just go to http://www.stffilms.com/Photos/ and register using your DVXUser User Name (that looks funny). There is no confirmation email and it is open to everyone. Even if you didn't partipicate you can vote and support the people in the community who did! You actually have a voice in this... It's a 0-5 star rating system, just click on the DVXUser Portrait Portfolio and vote and leave comments.

I am requesting that if you vote on an image that you post a comment, simply so that feedback can be had for the people who invested time and money into this event.

For every person who makes a real comment on all the images (there are only 31) I will donate a $1 to Isara.com...

You make posts here all day long, why not comment on people's work there?

Ok, it's official, some of the coolest people on the planet are members of DVXuser. Thank you, Jeremy. This is turning into a very good fundraiser.

What is the problem? I just checked the server and it is running perfectly... Please PM me if you are still having problems (BTW: You need to register, DVXUser information doesn't transfer)

I got half way through the photos, but the server appears to have gone off line. Oh well, its 1:30 AM (PST) and I have a 6:30 call time so, probably a good thing or I would be up another hour.

I would encourage everyone to take a look. There are a few really good images in this group.
 
Damn. Went back and sure enough, the site was back. So now it really is too late, gonna pay the price in the morning, but really enjoyed seeing all the images.
 
Hey everyone,

The server is up, but if for some reason you ping it and it's not up and running please give it a little while (30min-2hours). For next week's contest my goal is to have us moved to a new server so I need to get to work on that starting tonight. I am sorry for anyone who has pinged the server and hasn't been able to login. This was the first time so there are going to be some bumps, but hopefully next week will be smoother.

I just went through and voted and commented on all the images so I can say, the server is up and running perfectly and fast.

This was a great idea for a contest. We've got some talent here! Can't wait to participate in the next one.
