Tripod for DVX100 and future M2 support

I'm looking for a tripod to get for my DVX100 with a possible M2 35mm lens upgrade in the future. I saw this on EVS Online and it looked ok: http://www.evsonline.com/merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=3221WN503

Does that kit have the ability to use the support rods that the M2 needs or should I get a different set of legs? Which ones go good with the Bogen 503 head?

You're good with the Bogen 503. I have my dvx+m2 on the 501. But I don't know about those legs, they don't look very sturdy to me, i might be wrong.

Definately better. The spreader gives the legs more sturdyness. My impression is that with the first legs, you can easily knock a leg off by accident.

what Michael Linberg said should be fine. Though personally use http://www.evsonline.com/merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=503525PKIT with a bottom and middle spreader (depending on the terrain). It's probably a bit overkill seeing as how I only have about a 7 pound load, but I got a deal on ebay (around $600 mint with kata bag). For mechanical stuff like this, always check ebay.

yeah.. I'd definitely go for a BOGEN / MANFROTTO 503,351MVB2K if you can afford it. Check ebay for a deal on one. Possibly even buy the legs/head seperately on ebay if you're really strapped for cash. But yeah that should be a fine set up
