Where to get the Chinese MK012?

[Jarrod King]

Hi,

Does anyone know where to get the Chinese MK012 mics anymore? I listened to the blind sound clips at-

http://www.sound-patterns.com/mk012/

and honestly preferred the sound of the new chinese mike. Unfortunately, I can't find any place to buy them on the net. How ironic. Seems Guitar Center sold these for $49 on closeout back in the day. Anyone get ripped off with the chinese version and want to sell theirs or know of a source?

Thanks!
Jarrod

I actually like how the Chinese mic sounds too but I think the Russian one sounds a wee bit better.

You'll probably be able to find quite a few on ebay.

Might try a Guitar Center in your area...they might not even carry Oktava anymore because it was Chinese made...Didn't see any Oktava at the Hollywood GC last week but a lot of Rodes.

I was told at GC, last time I visited, they weren't carried any longer. Salesman did'nt know why....but we do.
