What cameras are people using to capture?

I have been using a jvc gr-dvl505, but whenever I capture a 24pa clip from that camera, premiere cant recognize it as 24p. it captures as 29.97 and needs to render in a 24p timeline.

however, capturing the same clip with my dvx works perfectly.

so, i'm wondering, what is everyone using to capture their footage with?
 
crappy little Panasonic PV-DV-53, works great as a deck (and as an expendable B-camera) features firewire, uses same size battery as DVX. perfect. $75 bucks on eBay.
