Century Optics Ultra wide angle?

Hey i've been looking at a couple different wide angle lenses that century optics has for my dvx in order to shoot some skate footage. I'm really interested in grabing up the .3x ultra fisheye that is listed for $995. which is pretty pricey. Century also has a fish eye adapter?-$525, .6x wide angle adapter-$415, .7x wide angle converter-$850.
If you have expirience working with these lenses:
What the difference between a adapter and a converter?
What is the wideness & distortion of the Fish eye adapter for $525 compared to the $995 .3x ultra fish? and is it worth the difference in price?
Oh and is there another good lense manufaturing company that offers a simular ultra fish eye lense?
Thanks for the expertise!:Drogar-Evil(DBG):

Century is known as one of the premiere suppliers of such things. However, I bought a Century anamorphic adapter (sorry, don't know the model) for my DVX100A and I do not like it. It has a lot of chromatic aberration. Now, I've never used an anamorphic adapter so I'm willing to believe this is an unavoidable problem, but I decided not to use the color footage captured with this adapter.

Um...where did you buy that? No such thing.

I think someone sold you an adapater for a Canon and fibbed.

Hello All;
This is my first reply/post but I've been watching this forum for a while.
I recently purchased a DVX100 and am new to the world of 24p.
I'll throw my 2 cents out there for what it's worth.
For a wide angle lens I am currently using a Schneider Kreuznach Ultra Wide(Type III) lens. It was designed for use with small format movie cameras.
I originally bought 2 of them for use with my 16mm Canon Scoopic as well as some of my better super 8 cameras. It's a dual thread lens having both 62mm and 67mm threads. I have attached a 67mm to 72mm adapter ring with very minimal vignetting. My manual focus is set to MF25 for best focus results. The wide lens however is made of a hard plastic but for a second hand lens around $150. the quality is pretty good. When testing it out on my DVX100, it subtly softened the image. I personally like its soft look which further emulates a filmic look. Here is a photo of it.
