...in no particular order.

1. The Usual Suspects.
2. A River Runs Through It.
3. American Beauty.
4. Rocky.
5. Seven.

That's without thinking about it. If I was made to consider, maybe none of them would make the list. But it's fun doing it spontaneously and impromptu. Somebody else try. Clear your head. And write out your top five movies of all time as fast as you can. Don't erase.

Haha. It didn't hurt me that all the movies that come to mind first are poster around my living room :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

Love your list of underrated movies but The Postman? That was the biggest dog terd I ever saw. Costner doing his Awe schucks/reluctant hero routine makes me want to throw up on his shoes. But I love the rest of the list. I never wanted to be the kind of jerk who only focuses on the negative but The Postman! I just dry-heaved.
 
Unfortunately, there seems to be no love lost between this film and the audience at large, but...

Hey Cally- Just quede up Beat the Devil and The Wrong Man. I love it when people recommend a movie because I feel like I've seen everything so thanks.

P.s. But there better not be a young Kevin Costner cameo in either of them.

i dont know if those are really my top five films, but for some reason they are the five that came out as a stream of consciousness... and in that order... so i guess there's something to be said for that.

edit to add... the most overrated movie....

I would offer for your consideration the second half of Full Metal Jacket which I personqally find to be as equally compelling a journey of dehuminization as that of Pvt Pyle's.
