I don't know that much about color correction.

I am applying the fast color corrector to shots and basically showing it white balance and then manually correcting it.

But I wonder, how good is it to do that especially in pp2?

many color correct in Canopus and etc. would it be more quality or proffessional there?

or is there not much difference?

maybe I should use three way color corrector.

PP2 has added a lot more color correction options, including Levels and Curve for the first time I believe. I usually find it adequate to just do CC work in Premiere although if you want to compare then the CCing capability in PP2.0 still cannot compare to other dedicated programs such as After Effects.

The "quality" of the tool really comes down to how much options it give you to control the image. Depends on how complex of a CCing job you want to do. It's possible to tinker with it for hours. I'm more of a apply-and-forget type and I don't like having to bring footage from one program to another, so I'm happy with the tools that PP2 give me.

PP2 currently has the most advanced color correction set available in a non-linear editing system (prosumer that is). Its 32bit processing beats FCP, Vegas etc. Now whether your results looks pro or not will depend on your skill as a colorist and how well the source footage was shot.

Is PP2 as good as dedicated hardware/software for CC - or even After Effects? Absolutely not.
