My family in Canada (mostly elders) have gone through... 21 artaficial hips. No lie. They were all farmers who bent down too much. And they all survived the operation just fine.

I think Jarred meant I gave him the idea to change the member status name, but it was your rapier wit (or rappier wit) that came up with the title in the first place.

Aram is strong like bull. I wish you a fast a smooth recovery. You’re probably bionic now. Soon it will be time to go play ball again.
 
Hey, ya'll, Aram is very amused by his new DVXuser nickname -- he laughed, which hurt somewhat, but in a good way, not like the way it hurt like hell when they made him dangle his legs over the side of the bed today... It will be a couple of more days until he has his feet on the ground, but in the meantime the percoset has him feelin' pretty relaxed. He sends his regards to all...

Two-Hip Shakur has put two feet on the floor...

...finally. He's now officially in rehab and is getting physical therapy. He's working hard but it's slow-going. He lost a lot of blood during the surgery, and that is slowing down his progress, so he hasn't been able to walk yet but he has finally stood on his own two feet. We had a couple of scares, but he's hanging in there. And he can't wait to get online -- I'm under strict orders to bring my laptop to the hospital tomorrow night, so maybe we'll be honored with his first post-surgery post.
 
I had reconstructive knee surgery a few years ago and just thinking about the rehab from hip surgery makes me dizzy. Physical therapy is scary. :(
