Im trying to export to DVD using these settings:

Main Concept MPEG2 DVD Codec

Highest Quality
VBR 2 Pass 8mps-8mps-8mps
23.976 FPS
48khz-16bit audio PCM

My footage and timecode in Premiere is set for 24p , for some reason when I watch the DVD, the footage is moving faster then audio track - which is running 44.1k - 16bit. Footage is edited on Audio (Music Video) Why is this happening? the video footage is finishing prolly 30 secs before audio finishes. Its all sped up. Yet when I burn same thing at 30fps it comes out fine. Is it because i Need to unselect remove 24p pulldown under interpret footage on each file before i export to DVD? What am i forgeting to do? Very confused as usual ;)

What program are you using to burn the DVD? In Encore if you import these files you should be fine. Do not use any time of pull-down, as you don't need to.

What version of Premiere are you using?

Hey split2nd,

Your problem is the sample rate of your audio (44k1). It needs to be sample rate converted to 48k and it will remain in sync with your video content. If you have access to a decent DAW (like Audition or similar) just do a sample rate conversion and you will solve your problem.

Actually, as I just discovered the other night, you can convert the audio frequenceies by selecting it, then going up to the TOOL BAR, underneath CLIP, AUDIO SETTINGS, RENDER AND REPLACE. It will do it for you there.

Tried the replace and render attempt with the audio and turned it 48k, and still same thing...the video is faster then the audio, by around 30 seconds!! Im using premiere pro 2.0 ...

its the only codec it will let me use for mpeg in adobe encoder...and i know there is others installed...is there a way to switch it in adobe encoder???

I had this problem as well, and my audio was 48 kHz -- just Mini DV.

It only occurred with the built-in burn. If I exported to MPEG2 DVD for use in Encore (WITH THE EXACT SAME SETTINGS) the audio and video were in sync.

I suspect it is a bug in Adobe's burn engine.
