Not a bad choice. In fact, probably the best choice for the blend of utility, style, reliability, and efficiency in that price range.

I'm new here, but you'll soon learn I'm what Malcolm Gladwell calls a "maven" when it comes to cars.

David, I have wanted one of those since I saw it on Apprentice a while back....is it every bit as great as it appears it would be?

For its purpose (flittering about town, going on daytrips up the coast, making your neighbors jealous, etc.), yes. It's great. Sweet. Dream-like.

Outside its purpose, you run into problems. NO storage space, for example.

Personally, I woulda bought it from Crackle...he coulda given you a better deal - well below invoice!

You crazy kids today with your lingo...oy vey!!

But think of all the video gear you could have bought. My new car is a little thing I call the HVX200 and accessories. Seriously, I was going to buy a car and said, "ah well".

That's only cause he's hooked on H and would be selling you Snap's car which he just "borrowed"

Wow a new car. I have an 86 Blazer witch is just built for rockcrawling but I guess you could say it is kind of new. All the parts are new except the body and frame. And around town I drive a POS 89 Toyota Camery, So I am very invious of you guys. Maybe next year I'll look into the new car thing.

Where do you put the camera equipment? Or do you have asisstants to do that for you?:Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

You'd be surprised how much you can fit in a 5 cubic ft trunk with some creative packaging!

Lighting kits not included.

Since its a convertible, you can pile stuff through the roof! Technically you can fit more stuff into a convertible than an SUV...Just look out for low bridges or stuff

Convertible BMWs are VERY popular around here.

That's not just a convertible BMW ... it's hell on wheels ... same engine as the BMW M3, but with 700 lbs less curbweight. Car & Driver managed 0-60 in 4.5 seconds, making it the fastest BMW ever to come to the US.

Unbelievably (and fortunately), my insurance company doesn't consider it a sports car.

Oh man oh man, I found a porsche boxster at my local dealership, I may have to head down there :)

Driven a few Boxsters. Not my cup of tea. I think I prefer the front engine-rear drive layout of BMW, Mercedes, Corvette, etc. over the mid/rear engine-rear drive layout of Porsches. The handling characteristics and weight distribution of the front/rear layout is more neutral while Porsches are prone to snap-oversteer (suddenly pointing in the other direction if you give it too much gas). That said, I never stop drooling over those gorgeous Porsche lines. Very pretty cars. And I definitely wouldn't kick a 911 Turbo or Carrera GT out of my garage.
