Music and 48 Hour Competitions

Like an overambitious person, i went out and decided to throw myself into a 48 hour project. The two things i'm worrying about most are securing locations and music. Securing locations i think i'll be fine with, but what should I do about music?

I mean, my friends and i doing the project are allright musically, we could make it if need be, but is there any better solution?

thanks guys.

better solution than making music? what are you going to do, just hope music shows up on your film? just make the music man. it's the best thing you can do and it'll be better than any of that royalty free crap that's on the internet.

I meant more along the lines of should I get someone else to make it that does it as a profession, or would that just slow me down, considering i only have 48 hrs.

well man, let me give you an example.

i 'hired' my 16 year old brother to do the music for the 48 hour film i did last weekend. no one knew the difference (they all thought it was professional) and he put it all together from SCRATCH. the kid is talented.

he was 16 and did it. you can do it if you are older. just do it yourself if you think you are competent enough in a music program. they give you a bunch of loops to make some cool music. try it out.
