Wes Anderson films

Yeah he's very detailed, and I've read reviews where he says he likes to stay grounded in reality but in a sort of hyper-reality, where things go over the top at times. Like there's a character in rushmore who is completely housed in tweed, tweed jacket, tweed pants and tie, etc.

he's a genius

He really is. I plan on making a movie in some-what his style. I'm terrified though, because when you are so into a movie (Tenenbaums) I get writers block because I fear I will copy something of his, which I do not want to do.

i love his films. anyone know anything about his new film he's working on? something about a mr. fox or something? i heard its animation

Fantastic Mr. Fox, by Roald Dahl. I will be stop-motion animation, by Henry Selick (the one who did SM for Life Aquatic and Nightmare before Xmas). It will star Jason Schwartzman and Angelica Huston- no other known actors. It is being written by Anderson and Noah Baumbach (co-writed of Life Aquatic).

That is as much as I know.

Yeah I feel the same way, it's like I don't want to watch and study a lot of my favorite films because I fear I'll subconsciously borrow things I did not intend to :crybaby:

Royal Tennenbaums is pure eye candy, beyond the movie itself (which I love). The Wes Anderson/Robert Yeoman (cinematographer) duo tops my list in favorite cinema style.
