Sennheiser ek500g2 Reciver Questions!

I was wondering why the ek500g2 Reciver is so danm expensive, The entire kit was only 520 on Ebay new! Could anyone Direct me twords a Cheaper Reciver that would work just the same?

Serously, i just bought an entire ew100engg2 and it's going to cost me MORE to buy a single reciever. Does anyone know of a cheaper way to pull in the signal, or where you can find a cheap ek500g2?

What's wrong with just getting the 100 series G2 then? Why do you need the 500 series?

Well i screwed that one up. I was looking on senhieser's site and the only single item reciever was a ek500g2, not a ek100g2, so i assumed that when sold seperate it was sold under the name ek500g2, my bad.

Well i guess the best place to buy a ek100g2 is at - http://www.djmart.com/seekpore.html

If anyone knows of a better place to buy feel free to post it.

whats the difference between 100, 200, 300 and 500? in the sennheiser range?

I am not up to date on this but I believe the 100 is the "normal" bodypack to bodypack system most people use. The 300 is a rack mount receiver and the 500 has a couple of extra features on the bodypack receiver, like headphone monitoring and balanced outs. I can't remember a thing about the 200 series.

my first set of wireless was the sennheiser ew 500

it was a combo pack so you got the beltpak transmitter with an ok lavalier and you got the plug on transmitter (the one WITH phantom power)

my second set of wireless is the sennheiser ew 100 g2

other than the size/shape of the cases being smaller for the g2 and the g2 having a pilot signal where the ew-500 has a larger case and no pilot tone.

for the g2 i got the skp-100 as it was cheaper to just get that and to get one of my cos-11's with the battery for phantom.

so my first cos-11 doesn't have the battery for phantom as i use the skp with phantom power for that one.
