Pirates Of The Caribbean - Dead Mans Chest

But eh, otherwise the first one was kind of boring, so I don't expect much more from this one, besides more shi* blowing up.

M

Yeah Depp was good but the first one was super boring for the most part. I think I'll catch the second one when I'm forced to watch it on an airplane.

the length of the movie is 2.30 and that's alot to ask kids to sit in a theater for that long but some have gotten used to that after Harry Potter.

If I was a kid. Watching a drunken idiot for 2 and a half hours flirting with this hot girl....not long enough for me. Screw Harry Potter.

but why is the rum gone?

i saw a clip they showed on The Tonight Show... it looked like Temple of Doom meets Pirates of the Caribbean... hopefully it'll be better than I'm expecting...

A friend of mine saw the movie last night at the LA Premiere. ( She is friends with Depp's dialouge coach. ) She said the movie was a lot of fun, just as if not better than the first and the special effects for Davy Jones were amazing. I am a little jealous... she bumped into Jerry bruckheimer.

That's awsome Rich, I really can't wait to see this one now! Everything I've heard about it has been overwhelmingly positive. Sequels can be tough to get right, and it sounds like they got this one right. I'll be there opening day!

I wasnt blown over by the original--but I can understand the appeal that greeted it. Its a fantasy, not a sci-fi comics flick-and it sets out to be fun(whether it floats your boat or not) as opposed to serious or deep like the Matrix, Spider-man, Batman or Superman try to be. Sort of like how the Mummy came along as an alternative to the Phantom Menace.
Davy Jones and his crew look imaginatively cool.

5 Days - 9 Hours - 27 Minutes

Before Its released In the UK...Not that Im countint or just worked that out or something. Looking forward to It.

i just heard that Keith Richards is shooting his role as Capt. Jack's dad for the third Pirates in Sept.

cool beans.

Richards To Shoot 'Pirates' Role in September
Keith Richards' Pirates Of The Caribbean 3 cameo will be filmed when The Rolling Stones European tour wraps up in September, following months of speculation. Johnny Depp famously based his character Captain Jack Sparrow on the guitarist, and Richards has long been touted for an appearance as Depp's father in one of the two forthcoming sequels. And, after masses of on/off speculation, director Gore Verbinski has confirmed Richards will appear in the third Pirates movie, despite falling out of a palm tree in April and subsequently undergoing skull surgery. Verbinski tells MTV, "We've written a little cameo, and Keith has scheduled us into his tour, and it's going to be a lot of fun. Apparently he's doing really well, and we'll shoot him in September."
