Just saw tokyo drift today and was wondering what everyone else thought of it? I thought it was pretty damn sweet... much better than 2 fast 2 furious.

justin lin is a better director but script wise i dunno how it was . i havent seen anyof them i just hope justin lin stays the way he was like when he made Better Luck Tomorrow.

Tokyo drift? Really? No relation to "Tokyo Drifter"?!

Could it be a remake?

I have no idea what film is this, but Tokio Drifter (1968) is a sweet cult icon!

It's fast and the furious : Tokyo Drift

Haha I was an extra in that movie. Haven't seen it yet though. Going to wait for the dvd to come out.

Doesn't sonny chiba have a cameo here?

And comparing tokyo drift to 2 fast 2 furious is like comparing disparate bowel movements, to me at least.

Maybe I'm being too harsh.

I was really pleasantly suprised by this movie. I thought it just kicked ass in general.

Lucas Black was a really good actor when he was a kid -- I'm kind of curious as to how he fares these days.

He's kind of the same to me. His acting in this movie wasn't any different than friday night lights

This movie is The Lakehouse for men. :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG) I thought it was visually kinda cool (the cars and Han-what's-his-name) But the dude who showed up at the very end made me scream NOOOOOO!!!!!!!! out loud in the theater and I completely embarassed my daughter.

I would have liked to have seen an ending where the two cars jump off that start line and both drift to midway thru the first turn and then freeze frame with them sorta tied...like When Rocky and Apollo do that simultaneous punch. Just leave it like that. Would have been better than the chick dressed like Santa's naughty helper...though I know general opinion on that will differ greatly around here. :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

The lakehouse for men ? I saw the lakehouse and I didn't get that feeling from this movie :)

But Diesel showing up at the end was kinda cheesy. The only thing going on in my mind was how much did they pay him for that

Yeah, i really did not like the end, i was having flashbacks to the end of half-life 2, I want my entertainment to have a definitive ending. The script was a little cliche, and the texas accent of the main character was distracting. but i found it very entertaining, and would see it again.

also i think i was impressed that a sequel could turn out to be better than the films it followed... that is a phenomenon that happens so rarely these days.
