Prepering a MUSIC VIDEO for Broadcast (MTV, BET, Launch.com)

Hello Laides and Gentlemen :),
I am about to embark into a Music Video production, very low budget, and their aim is to submit this video to Launch.com, MTV, etc for broadcasting.

This band has lots of talent and a great sound. They also got hooked up with a musician from a famous band and the chances they will be played somewhere are pretty good. However, the crew and me are not getting paid for this production , perhaps the DP but not me :<, and the budget is limited. Film is out of question. So the other option I have is HD. Say HVX200, who knows.

My question:
- What are the specs, or min. requirements for submission to say MTV, Launch.com, etc. ?
- How picky are they in terms of image quality?
- Would a HVX200 production make it?
Nevermind Fatboy Silm's luck with "Praise you".
- What do I need to look after in terms of production for TV outlets?
- Any recommendations for the production at all?

:costumed-smiley-047 Let me know.
I woudl greatly appariciate it.

Lupe Fiasco's video "Kick, Push" was shot using a dvx by someone here on the board ( I can't remember who ) and it's on BET and MTV

Silver Wolf:
I will defenitely look for that video. I wonder if there is a list of DVX videos that made it in the mainstream industry. Thre should be a list or something in thir forum. It should be interesting.

Cryogenic,
Yes. I actually saw it on MTV.com fist and then read about here. It's pretty good. I like it. I read it somewhere that it was all 35mm. Not in the budget.

Search for Lupe Fiasco on the board and you can find the video

EDIT : I found the link and saw that you found it as well

we shot with DVX and got on MTV. I dont think it matters that much as long as they want to play the band, you fill out the paper work, and you get your tape closed captioned

Sink.
It's defenitely a relief! Do you have a link to MTV's submission's page?

Silver Wolf,
I found the video. It's cool and Impakt made another one that very very nice too!

Oneinfinite,
I just saw the video again to refresh my mind. I just wished there was a lot more video instead of animation to see the quality. :|

BTW. I wonder how much would it cost to send the dvtape to a place and put it on a digibeta tape... and close caption it.
