Kish Director's Mini

The Kish Director's Mini seems to be the best choice for a director's finder for me because it handles 1/3" video and 2/3" inch. For the price it is also a great deal once listed around $300 at filmtools.com, compared to great finders such as the Mark V at $700. I've searched quite a bit and cannot find anyplace selling these finders, does anyone know where I can get a hold of one? Kish Optics website is of no help and their email adresses such as sales@Kishoptics.com give me Delivery Status Notifications. Thanks.

You can decide exactly where to put the camera without having to lug the beast around. It saves hours and hours a day when you are shooting with a heavy 35mm camera. It also helps setting up dolly track tremendously, since you can know exacly where it should go. When you´re shooting with a DVX and HVX, it´s not asindispensable, because you can take the camera in your hands and just look for the shot.

thanks for the link, the cavision nice, do you have any experience using it versus another viewfinder? can anyone comment on what makes a mark V 700$ and what makes cavision's 11x micro only 200$, quality differences? thanks again

Accuracy. Sometimes you want to know the EXACT location of the camera. The mark V will give you that. The cavision will require some tweaking...

I just bought that Cavision viewfinder. It'll be nice to have it because right now I don't have a camera and I need to plan my shots.

thanks for the information about th mark V, King, do you think you could comment back on what you think about the viewfinder, thats my number 1 consideration at the moment but I dont have the cash to pick it up, ot at least dont feel the extreme need to find the cash to pick it up quite yet, any help would be appreciated.
