NYC 35mm Adapter Shootout - Call for Adapters

Hey everybody,
The NYC DVXUser group would like to hold a 35mm Adapter Shootout in June/July and we need your help. Anyone in the area with a 35mm adapter who would like to participate should PM me with your contact info so we can set everything up. Anything from a P+S Technik Mini35 to that soda can adapter (Pepsi35?) are welcome. This will be held at a studio in NYC. We would also like to post the results so everybody can see the strengths and weaknesses of each of the different models, so if you are not from the area, stay tuned. Thanks.

Im in with the Brevis35 if Im not still bedridden from my hip operation Im getting in June. I can shoot stuff before I go in though.
Im using Nikon lenses.

We should make sure the lenses are all about the same quality and speed.
 
I have a M2 and would love to see how it performs in a shoot out. Right now I'm using Canon Lenses but I'm contemplating the switch to a Nikon mount and lenses. I'm in Central NJ and would love any excuse to come into the city.
 
Ryan, great idea. I've been looking to maybe use one of these but have no idea about any of them. Can't wait for this. Be sure to contact me if you are still interested in doing it at Monica's.
 
Sounds great -- I'm in provided I can get the adapter completed by then. I'm in the last, and very slow stages of production. It looks like, to be completely honest, I'm looking at the first week in July to have everything set.

If ready, I will bring both the Go35SD and Pro, with an array of Nikon/Tokina lenses.

Not quite yet, I still gotta nail down the location but I'm gonna try for July 8th or 9th. Then you'll be free to kick all the spaghetti ass you wish. Your Hero film was awesome btw Aram.
 
Thank you! Thats cool with the date. Im scheduled for an operation the 14th of July so I just wanted to make sure I get down on this.

My RedrockMicro M2 Indie Bundle - HD Edition for Nikon Lenses was ordered on ....May 13 2006 ,613-SO11250
+ I have all Nikon 28mm f2.8, 35mm f1.4, 50mm f1.8, 85mm f1.4, 105mm f2.5.
If the dates are fixed for the adapter shoot then I will bring, atleast the lenses.

Can someone guess a delivery date? July 13?

But lets not forget HVX +M2 + Lenses =60 ASA! (I read it somewhere. ) So we will need to arrange for lots of light.
 
Hey Guys, let me know when you do the shootout. I would love to see these in action first hand.

How the hell did i miss this thread.......

Reppin' SGpro.

Ryan i am devising, a series of tests and coming up with a lighting scheme.

I think maybe we should do it here at my FAmily's DAnce studio. But i gottatalk to my uncle. We will have 22' X 22' ( possibly 22 X 44) private room.

Ok Guys, I got my RedrockMicro HD. So NYC has its own RR. I am trying to play with it with a DV camera (then with HD)& going to order FollowFocus ... I am looking to collaborating with someone to experiment with it before I shoot my short. Any volunteers?
