Hey, the Hawaii bootcamp has been pushed to October so we can work with the film school out there, and that has given us the opportunity to revisit LA at the end of July.

yeah kool i want in, and you got to go to Maui at the end of OCT. for halloween fest big time there on front street like madi gras, i'll be there to show you around.
 
I'll be able to go this time, Jarred! Last day of summer school is the 28th at around 1:00pm, I could go down the street to the airport and be on my way to LA right after class! :)

Now this is assuming my family can get their act together by then. But in any case, where will the location be for this one?
 
I took a look around for some FAQ's regarding the bootcamp but didn't find any...

Is this for the DVX? And is it neccassary to bring your own? I saw a thread somewhere saying that it's not imperative to bring your own HVX, so I was curious about the DVX as well.
 
yeah.. its interesting though because apart from the menus (which actually are very similar to the dvx's) alot of things like the lighting class etc. are cross camera.

Damn, I wanted to do this so bad, but already have commitments that weekend...any chance of weekdays this time around - or maybe another weekend? Or, as long as I'm begging, when might you guys set up a bootcamp in San Diego? We're just down the road, and I'm betting you can get enough San Diegans to make it worth your while... San Diegans?

Is there a discount for 2 people? :)

My friend and I want to drive down to LA for this, but after hotel, gas and cost of the registration, wed be at about 1000 bucks. We have a savings for hardware for the HVX but dont want to dip into it to much to go. We are trying to build up our accessories and theres alot of stuff we need we could get with that 1000 bucks. I know knowledge from the Bootcamp is priceless thats why we want to go, but we might just send one of us only if we cant succumb to that price of going.

Also, before we decide on registerting one of us, is there a possibility of a SF Bootcamp? Id hate to pay and make the trip to have the following month a bootcamp in SF we could have just taken BART to?

unfortunately there is only a limited amount of seats so there is no volume discounts :(

wont be a SF bootcamp anytime soon.

Not being a complainer or anything just curious. LA is close enough, ive made the trip to LA for alot less, this would actually be the most important trip ive ever made down there. Last time was to pick up a kitten :love4:

How soon should we register if we decide to? Maybe if i get approved for this new credit card $3500 limit soon i can use that! :evil: ill just charge the whole trip worry bout it later. Is space close to filling up?
