UK users - how are you mounting the FS-100 (on the camera?)

I've just called a couple of dealers I use regularly and it seems that the jury's out on the availability of the Panasonic mounting bracket for the Firestore FS-100. Any UK users out there have one of these things already? If so, where did you get it from? One dealer I spoke to said it wasn't yet available.

I have a shoot next week for which I'd like to roam around a bit with the camera and I'd like to find an adequate mounting solution for the FS-100 before then. Any advice?

I had a quote from Mitcorp last week for this bracket - they said £95.86. I haven't yet ordered as I really wanted to at least see what it looked like and hear a few reports; just like you

Are there any photos of this device around?

Haha! Great minds....Mitcorp were one of the folks I spoke to today, and they quoted the same price.

Let's see what other folks have got to say - anything I find out, I will post back here.

i got my firestore and mounting bracket from prestons in the uk around 2 weeks ago

H Prestons are good. I'd have my money on them being the first to get new product. They were the ones that got me 2x 8gb P2 cards + P2 store when there was more chance of meeting Elvis.

Sheridan is the mounting package the same design as the FS4 bracket?

Any updates on these brackets in the UK? I placed an order with Mitcorp around the 13th June, but they have no stock and can not say when they will have them.

Sheridan, was the bracket you got from Prestons specifically for the FS100 or was it the one used for the FS4?

I got my bracket from CVP (www.cvp.co.uk) - but note the extended battery for the fs100 does NOT fit in this bracket - and you are going to need some extra battery life !

Thanks Mark. Did you order from the site or phone them, I can't see it on the site?

I have a Zacuto rod and mount setup with a central V-Mount battery which powers the HVX, FS100 and Marshall LCD all together, but for smaller setups this battery would not be used so thats very useful to know the larger FS100 battery won't fit in this thing.
