Flipping the image inside the 35mm adapter

i have seen some people mount a mirror so that one can flip the LCD screen image away from the cameraman to get rid of the left to right flip, then the mirror gets rid of the upside down flip. not sure how to make it or set it up though. Just know its possible. And its probably what i will do for my steadicam as a monitor is impossible to mount.

I believe a prism and a mirror, is used.

Have you heard of the magnet way. Its not recommended , but you can use a
magnet to trick you camera and flip the image on the lcd screen, but It wont be
right side up when you capture it.
 
Yes ive heard of the magnet trick but tis doesn't work on my XL2. Flipping the viewfinder isnt a possibility either because when mounted the other way i cant opent eh viewfinder and it ubstructs things. Prefferably it would be a true flip in post but i dont feel like having an external monitor. Possibly the mirror in the viewfinder will work well that way there will be no degraedation the image itself. Thank you
 
Does anyone have any info on whether DVCam manufacturers like sony and panasonic can include a digital effect of inverting the image. So when you put in the mini35, you don't even need a inverter at all and save some light.

Is there a link to this in action on a 100A? I know it triggers the self shoot sensor but....

Hi Wayne, I saw your mirror setup to invert the image. I have four pieces of the front face mirror I got out of spoiled slr camera and they are exactly 35mm x 25mm. But when I arrange them in the configuration you talked about, the effective viewing screen is 25mm x 25mm. Do you have to have a viewing area of 35mm x 25mm or can the camera just zoom in to capture a 25mm x 16mm say.
