I am building a cpu (finally) and I was curious if its worth it to buy on the weekend or doesn't it matter?

Thanks

I have bought lots of stuff from newegg, but I never heard about it making a difference what day you purchased on. Maybe I'm just not in the loop.

Yeah me either. I've shopped from them a lot. I've never heard of the purchase date making a difference either.

Also, check ZIPZOOMFLY. Newegg is my first place to go to for computer components and ZIPZOOMFLY is number 2. Sometimes I will mix and match and buy a few things from each site if it means saving a few bucks.

thanks guys...I just know they always have a lot of weekend deals, so I guess I just assumed that the weekend had better deals

but you know what you get when you assume...you die

I don't know about the weekend thing either, but have ordered way too much from new egg.

You can keep an eye on this site:

http://techbargains.com/

Newegg deals pop up on it from time to time as well as grips of other items from other places. The site keeps their eyes open for double rebates and big deals. I bought a $70 back-up power supply once for $00.01 (after rebates) from a deal I found there. The page is long so use Ctrl F and search for "newegg".

get another 250 gb sata drive. trust me, you'll use the space.

i have 2 and they're almost full. but i'm about do for a mad archive session

thanks man, I was debating between that. Now I am trying to debate if I should wait for the AM2 5000+ that is coming out later this month. Gosh, this crap changes too fast for me.

The only thing that buying on the weekend effects is overnight shipping, It'll be the same as ordering on Monday no matter what you pay. I've bought lots of things from them with no problem.

The weekend thing... Yeah, they have weekend sales. They also have 24 hour sales.

If you can wait to get your stuff, hang out there for a while and see if what you want pops up.
