I need an idea of what to ask for salary

Hey guys. I applied for this job awhile back and am on the short list of interviews for the job. Here is the position:

Digital Editor

DE002

Imagine a work place where you can wear your jeans everyday - not just on Friday. Where people are passionate about what they do and have fun doing it. Veer’s Image Production Team needs a Digital Editor. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented with strong Macintosh skills and hands-on experience editing images using Photoshop. An eye and an attitude for quality and the ability to stay focused on repetitive tasks is a must. Knowledge of color and color correction, specifically how it relates to print production is a definite plus.

Any idea what to ask for as far as salary goes?
 
where are you geographically - than can make a difference. Whether you're in NYC, San Francisco, or Duluth, Georgia will make a significant difference. Your experience will also be a factor. Will you need on the job training or can you hop right in and be the crackerjack editor?
 
I live in Canada. The job is In Calgary Alberta..rich city..high cost of living..comparable to L.A.
My experience is there and I can jump in and start working no problem. I wish I could just find some salary information on the net but I'm having not a lot of luck. Thanks.
 
Something to ponder...

It all depends on how good you are. If you can easily be replaced with some other guy who will take less then they arn't going to hire you for a high price. If you have skills that are hard to come by, and they need you then you can get away with a lot more. I'd say be cautious at first with a price, but don't undersell yourself. If they find that you do good work then the stakes can slowly rise. Where to begin all depends on your skill level.
 
Thanks guys. I didn't go all "joey" on them for my submission (although I'd probably get a bigger salary if I had your dvd at the time!)..just simple fix up stuff. Here are some examples of what I submitted..there was a lot more but my pdf resume is about 10mbs. Sorry about the artifacting of sorts..I saved them for web in PS. I'll keep you guys updated..the interview is Tuesday.
