I have a deadline for tomorrow i need to meet, and i need a program for the mac that will turn audio backwards for good... so i can save the mp3 file that was recorded backwards rightside forward again. i have soundtrack and final cut pro but dont know if i can do it in either of those.

Steinberg Wavelab should do the trick for you. The other programs you listed might, but I'm not familiar with them.

I'm not sure if you can download this program on a mac. But, there is a free audio editing program named audacity. I have it and it has meets simple needs like reversing audio. It's free and you can get it by searching audacity on google. Good Luck!

Google? There's that word again.

Any way of getting the board software to replace the word Google with "poo poo". :)

Ok, clue me in as to why this is a neat move and for what reason you feel the need to reverse audio beyond the fact of looking for back masking.
Inquiring minds want to know...

Wouldn't you rather it replaced "Google" with "Isara" ?? And of course have the board correctly pronounce "Isara."

I was wondering the same thing, why do you need the audio backwards?

i recorded a concert on an old tape recorder; forsome reason or another, the mechanics recorded the audio backwards on the tape so when i play it forwards, its all backwards garbled crazy stuff. so i need to take the audio off the tapes and put it on cd's; when i import it i can only set the tape player to play the audio forwards (normally) and i needed to undo the garbled mess.

Just saw your post. If you're on a Mac and using FCP, then just throw it in a timeline, hit "Command-J" (Apple-J) and click the reverse button. Then export from timeline as the type of file you need (AIFF for example). Simple.

I'm sure with any video editing program, you can reverse any footage. And, surely there's an audio FX to apply to a particular clip. heck, better yet, just send the mp3 to one of us here, and i'm sure it'll take a whole 5 minutes and another 15 to upload ;)

I have about 5 programs on my computer right now that could reverse it. I assume that's what you need?

I recomended audacity to him and he reversed in the 4th post- he already got the mp3's backward. We were just asking why he was doing it.

I just wanted to say, that if he has a windows or a friend with windows OS, it will be very easy to play it backwords

true, all the video editors can do this.
