DVCPRO PAL in AE 7.0 ??

I am wondering if i should update to ae 7.0 professional.
But coming from a Pal country, i am wondering if the support dvcpro 50 in pal and all the HVX HD Pal stuff.

Can anyone tell me how Pal DVCPRO is supportef and maybe print a screenshot with project options??

as fare as i can see, this route would work, but i am still not concerned in converting my files into an avi.
I saw that the avi.s are smaller then the mxf file (sound included!) and i also had some results in my quicktests (converting dvcpro 50 and 720p, both pal), as i could definitly see some loss in quality... spacially some aliasing in thin shapes, that didnt cause problems in the original footage.

But i think as long as there is no p2 iplemetation in any compositing system, we will have to deal with it like that.

I am editing a doc right now in edius, and also if there are not so many effect tools, i will try to do cc right in the program.

How you guys see your workflow regarding postproduction?
 
it depends, but to make an example: mxf.=230mb, avi(with sound) 160mb.

I am really curious how others do there post...!
 
I think the convertion is actually not loslees, they are not working with an CBR compression, that means that the codec is not recording the same ratio in each frame, but it depends how the picture-formation is.

However, i am still not happy with the post-workflow i find with my hvx..i hope this is an issue that will work better in the future..anyway still hoping to find a good workflow with the best quality possible..!
