Where are you placing your order?
I placed one yesterday at Adorama x $1315 including shipment in MD but the item surprisingly was in backorder (that was meant only after i placed the order). So i'm not shure if and when i will receive the monitor. I'm leaving the US friday 9 and want to go back with a monitor.
There is a good offer at avdeals.com but they do not specify if they have the item ready for shipment.

Hey Mo. I just purchased the same Marshall (should be here in a week or so). Check out B&H (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/con...s&Q=&sku=391161&is=REG&addedTroughType=search) as it appears their price is US$1349.95.

I bought through avdeals.ca (for delivery to Canada) which was the best price I found for to-my-door delivery in Canada (20% less than a quote from a local Marshall dealer in Vancouver) but it doesn't appear that model is available on avdeals' US website (at least I couldn't find it).

I do not yet have a hotshoe arm and understand that a hood is a really good idea (like the Hoodman H700).

I'll be using mine with an attached IDX battery (Sony v-mount).

If mine arrives before you order yours, I'll let you know how it turns out.

I finally become resonable once again... I'll go with the Sony monitor MFMHT75W.
It 450$ CND (very cheap). It require 110volt and require a reperate mount but still. I'll see next year for the marshall... I'll save more for a Cartoni focus tripod first and a Jib. Thanks

I still say go for this package. That Marshall monitor is solid as it can be mounted right on top of the HVX for multi-angle viewing. The Bescor battery has a wire that dangles but it's not a big deal. If you can afford one of the other solutions, such as:

V-DV-PWR1
http://www.lcdracks.com/accessor/Batteries.htm

or

the Pansonic battery adapter
http://www.nebtek.com/proddetail.php...lVR-70P-HDA-LI

. . . then go for it.

I dont know if anyone has looked at the thread here in hardware called "tablet pc: firestore and 35mm adapter solution" (or something close to that) but it looks like it does the same job than the marshall and more so for less money, plus its gotta look slicker to have a monitor one second and flip it and the next second you have a laptop, or even better a touch screen interactive monitor, everything is about $800 to $1000. I't just "SEEMED" like a good idea, wanted to point it out before you spend $1500.

ooops, too late. Waiting the UPS to knock at my door with my marshall, bought at abel cinetech with the panasonic battery adapter at an amazing price (so amazing that i doubt includes the panasonic battery adapter, but let's see... i'll keep you updated)

Just a heads up about mounting the Marshall to the HVX, I got this Marshall bracket...

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/con...s&Q=&sku=339320&is=REG&addedTroughType=search

and the POS came apart and the monitor fell. The top and bottom part are two pieces held together by a brass bushing. This is the weakest link and its holding your 1500$ monitor. I hammered the two parts together and super-glued them, but still don't trust that LCD mount.

Got to say this is a POS. It is not strong enough to hold the monitor in the position you want. Tilt the monitor slightly, then tighten this up and it doesn't stay in that position, the monitor is too heavy for it and gravity takes over.

Does anyone know of a better hot shoe attachment, or even a 15mm rode attachment for the Marshall? This adaptor is not up to the job.

Yikes.

I got the Manfrotto/Bogen mount for close to $50. Works very well with no problems. Doesn't go on to the hotshoe but rather the HVX's handle.
