editing 24p and 24pa together

I just shot a wedding with 2 dvx100a's and despite all of my double checking, i must have had one set on 24p when they were both supposed to be 24pa (i'm assuming that's the issue since every time I import with the capture settings set to remove the advanced pulldown, it shows up in the logging bin as 29.97 as opposed to the other camera that shows up at 23.98 after the advanced pulldown is removed). I had hoped to just do a simple multicam edit but it won't allow me since the framerates do not match. What is the best way to make the 29.97 24p into a 23.98 clip? I tried compressor set on best quality and field dominance set to "progressive" but the end result had interlacing around the edges of moving objects. Any help would be appreciated.
